The Lambsgo Blah - 2003
17 March 2003
Well, well, well it's been a long time between drinks for the Lambsgo Blah, which in truth is only Greg blabbing on about things you might find exciting in the LGB. Things are going along swimmingly, thanks to y'all for your support and general drinking abilities.
Item 1.
There has been a bit of a call for the reintroduction of Andy's Sunday Roast and to that end we are considering bringing it back so register you interest @ the bar and we'll let you know as soon as we know when it'll be on.
Item 2.
Friday April 11 sees the start of what we hope will become a popular little afternoon session. Simply titled "TASTY"
It is a chance for you folk to meet brewers and taste test the beers they brew.
"TASTY" will start at 3pm and run till 10 ish with give aways, cheap booze and bar snacks.
We are extremely happy to present on Friday the 11th Paul Holgate from the Holgate brewing Co. whose fantastic beers have been in our fridge now for quite some time. Paul will be here to give y'all the low down on the how's, whys and wherefore's of his unique and exciting beer range. We will be show casing his Woodend Pilsener and the ever reliable Old Pale Ale on draught @ $3 a pot (save yourself 50 cents) stubbies $4 (save a buck). Paul's got T-shirts and 6-packs to give away.
We look forward to having representatives from Grand Ridge, Buckleys, Little Creatures and many other small breweries. So please feel free to come on down on Friday arvos and join the fun.
Item 3.
Lambsgo Bar.com.au is coming to a ' puter near you very soon. It should be an exciting interactive dynamic wonder world of beer and LGB blah. So we are now calling for contenders for the first LGB "Punter of the Month".
To be the first LGB POM you need to write a story in more than 50 words but less then 150 words describing how you 'spent the rent on booze'. The story does not need to involve The Lambsgo Bar but since the judging panel consists of those doin' time behind the bar it may advantageous to invent something with us in it. Prizes will be awarded to the most debauched example of said subject with the barstaff's decision being final. A mixed case of world beers will be awarded to the winner, whose entry will be displayed on the web site along with a photo a small bio.
The site will be erected by c2o and Toy Satellite who we thank heaps (check out Andrew and Justina doin' Monday nights music).
Look I don't know if there's much more to tell you except keep your smile handy and enjoy the beers and fun stuff coming your way @ the LGB. See ya in a Fortnight kids. Cheers.
